I am having trouble getting file attachments with the Windows Mail program in Windows Vista. What might be the problem?

The Windows Mail program that comes with the Windows Vista operating system tries to keep your computer safe by blocking certain types of e-mail attachments. These types of files include the .exe, .scr and .pif formats that are often use to spread malicious code.
Microsoft
does not recommend it for security reasons, but you can override this setting and unblock these attachments. Go to the Tools menu and select Options. Click on the Security tab and remove the check in the box next to “Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus” and then click on the O.K. button.

Second time a charm Apple releases second version of iTunes 8 for Windows to fix blue screen of death

Does Apple really have a cavalier attitude toward Windows users? Windows users are starting to think so. The most recent incident involved popular Apple software iTunes.
Windows users were complaining because Apple’s release of iTunes 8 for Windows Vista was causing the all-to-familiar blue screen of death to appear. Judging by how many software programs written for Windows do the same thing, you have to wonder at what point Windows users realize the problem may be their chosen platform, but I digress.

Remote desktop is a great feature in Windows.  Whether you need to connect to another computer in your network, or connect to your computer from anywhere there’s an internet connection, it’s an excellent alternative to more complicated remote connection methods.  Turning on and configuring remote desktop is a lot easier than many people think, mainly because Vista takes care of the more complicated security measures for you.

The $10 million Microsoft paid Jerry Seinfeld was a waste of money if media commentator responses are anything to go by. Most writers seem utterly baffled by the way ‘Shoe Circus’ fails to actually say anything about Vista, Windows or Microsoft in general.

who said “without equivocation it’s one of the worst, most pointless ads in history… The ad isn’t funny, has absolutely no point, and is about as boring a minute and a half as you’ll ever spend.”
