The Vista saga has unfolded almost like a duplicate of what happened with Windows ME.  It’s not really a secret that Microsoft wants to sweep Vista under the rug like some unwanted dirt.  What does Windows 7 have in store for consumers?
Multi-Touch.  That’s right, the
only
new feature Microsoft is touting for Windows 7 is multi-touch.  You know, multi-touch like the iPhone/iPod Touch have.  Multi-touch like every single touchscreen device seems to have.

Will ZoneAlarm ever be available for 64-bit Windows Vista?

ZoneAlarm was at one time the most downloaded piece of software available across all categories, which raises the question- where is the version compatible with 64-bit Windows Vista?  The company that produces ZoneAlarm has stated several times that it will be available "in 2008," so what’s the story?
The 64-bit version of Vista includes significant security feature upgrades over the previous 32-bit kernel, which might account for the delay in release of a compatible ZoneAlarm, but the problem mostly lies in the fact that it’s much harder these days for third-party developers to create security software for the 64-bit version, according to

Tip of the Week: Deactivating Pesky Alerts in Vista

Windows Vista is designed to thwart malicious programs, but it often annoys experienced users with constant alerts about needing permission to continue when installing software or changing settings. To deactivate the warnings, go to Control Panel, then to User Accounts, and remove the check on the box next to “Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer.” Just make sure your PC’s security software is up to date.
