The cordless mouse is designed to control your computer sans a desk or other suitable flat surface by using "Freespace" motion sensing turning hand-based gestures into commands. The device also acts as a normal laser mouse when placed on a flat surface, so you're not always stuck doing the Harry Potter dance.
