ZoneAlarm releases its Vista-compatible firewall
Check Point Software Technologies has released its ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite 7.1 today, four months since Microsoft release Vista. The two-way firewall was designed to run on the latest Windows operating system, Vista.
The delay was primarily caused by the switch to Vista’s application programming interfaces (API).
Previous versions of ZoneAlarm’s product have relied on Microsoft’s Transport Device Interface (TDI) API while the new release ZoneAlarm 7.1 uses Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) API.
