Saturday, June 30th, 2007

With the iPhone sleeping peacefully in stores until tomorrow’s debut, OS X Tiger winning fans long-associated with the Windows camp, and Leopard poising itself for complete domination of a currently feeble next-gen OS showing, Apple is solidifying itself as the champion of consumer hearts in all aspects of life. 2007 is quickly proving itself to be the year that Apple flexes its creative muscle and engrains itself in the hearts and minds of consumers worldwide with its powerful trifecta: the iPod, the iPhone, and OS X.

Struggling with your new iPhone on a 64-bit Windows Vista or XP system? Take solace, you’re not alone. The error message, “The software required for iPhone is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install iTunes again.” is Apple’s magical way of telling you that iTunes is not supported on 64-bit flavors of Microsoft’s operating systems. Friday, June 29th, 2007

Consumers haven’t exactly been clamoring to get their hands on Vista, unless it just happened to come with a computer purchase. Those upgrading their own systems to Vista are few and far between. Microsoft has had, at best, a lukewarm response to the Vista family discount program which will now be coming to an end.
Since Vista became available, US and Canadian customers have had the option of buying either an upgrade or full version of Vista Ultimate and getting two additional copies of Vista Home Premium for $50 each. That comes to $500 for three copies of Vista.

Vista isn’t Me2, it’s Win95 + 12 years

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Microsoft Bob

summarized
as “7th place in PC World Magazine’s list of the
25 worst products of all time
