Lenovo makes $1.3B deal with Microsoft

The Chinese company, which has its U.S. headquarters in Morrisville, announced the deal Thursday. The Reuters news service reported that Lenovo will pay as much as $1.3 billion to pre-install Microsoft software such as Windows Vista, Windows XP and Office on its new computers.
The deal follows a similar, $1.2 billion pact the two companies made last year in response to concerns about software piracy in China.
